16 Oct Face scanners spell end for reception desk at high-tech office building
An “office of the future” is ditching the traditional reception desk and using facial recognition technology to allow people into the building.
Developers at Bureau, an £115 million development which has opened this week near Chancery Lane, have installed “discreet cameras” to scan the face of any pre-registered guest.
The cameras then notify the receptionist or host, who can greet the person and direct them through the building without the need to sign in. Workers will no longer need ID cards.READ FULL ARTICLE
